DNA Replication and Its Impact on Genome and Chromatin Maintenance

We are RepliFate, a European Training Doctoral Network dedicated to understanding how DNA replication shapes cell fate and contributes to disease development.

On July 6th and 7th, 2026, we are holding an international scientific meeting at one of the leading research centres in Europe, Helmholtz Munich. The meeting focuses on novel fundamental insights into DNA replication and its impact on genome and chromatin maintenance. We aim to bring together leading scientists whose work has driven breakthroughs in the field of DNA replication and who can inspire the next generation of trainees by their science and by engaging in discussions throughout the meeting.

This meeting also provides a platform for the 12 PhD fellows of the Replifate network to present their ongoing research. In addition to invited talks and selected talks from abstracts, the program will feature poster sessions and extended discussion periods, encouraging high-quality scientific exchange and interaction among speakers and participants.

Opening Art Exhibition
The meeting will open with an Art exhibition, featuring work from the Replifate Artist in Residence artists and others, which will open at 17:00 on Sunday, July 5th, at the Muffatwerk (https://www.muffatwerk.de) in Munich.

Fee
Participation is free of charge but registration is compulsory. Please register timely so that the organisers can plan catering and special needs accordingly.

Ingolstädter Landstraße 1, 85764 Oberschleißheim-Neuherberg, Munich, Germany.

The Neuherberg Campus is located on the northern outskirts of Munich. There is a security gate at the entrance to Helmholtz Munich Neuherberg campus. Guest badges will be available for you at the gate office. The Conference Center is about a 6-8 min walk from the gate (posters will direct you on campus).

Directions on how to get to the Helmholtz Zentrum Neuherberg Campus
Take the U2 to Feldmoching and get off at ‘Am Hart’ from there take either bus 294 to Garching or bus 295 to Oberschleissheim and get off at Neuherberg Helmholtz Zentrum. At the Gate Office you will get visitor day passes. It will take 8-10 minutes to walk from the bus stop to the Conference Center.

The Munich public transportation system (MVV) is very good, and you should not have any problem finding your way around. MVV website: https://www.mvv-muenchen.de/en/. You can purchase tickets online, at machines in most suburban train or underground stations, sometimes on the bus, or with your cell phone via the MVV App.

For your convenience we have sketched a few relevant public transportation routes:

• Hauptbahnhof (Central train station) to Neuherberg (28 min, 4.10 €, zone M) U2/Feldmoching to Am Hart, take bus 294 or 295/Garching-Hochbrück to Helmholtz Zentrum Neuherberg.
• Neuherberg to Hauptbahnhof (Central train station): Bus 294 or 295 (direction Munich) to Am Hart, change to U2/Messestadt Ost, disembark at the main train station.
• Neuherberg to Munich airport (46 min, 10.20 €, zones 1-5) Bus 295/Oberschleißheim to S-bahn station Oberschleißheim, change to S-Bahn S1/Flughafen München.
